Using FlightViz for Objective Visualization of Training
Sessions
FlightViz gives users the capability to examine training sessions at many
levels.
Brief
Simulator time is expensive and in extremely high demand. Users of FlightViz
maximizes the effectiveness of simulator training sessions by conducting
briefings that are more effective. Crews can preview approaches, departures,
flight maneuvers, and SOPs.
Debrief
Currently, during debrief sessions, trainers must often rely on their memory
and quickly scribbled notes to provide feedback to flight crews. Their
effectiveness hinges on their recall, objectivity, and ability to
communicate verbally. With a PC and FlightViz data visualization software,
trainers can selectively and immediately show flight crews exactly what
happened during training sessions - in three dimensions. Visualization
provides objective feedback and increases understanding and retention,
making training more effective. Combined with the comprehensive flight data
analysis capabilities of FlightAnalyst, superior debriefing efficiency and
effectiveness are achieved.
Classroom Training
A great deal of training takes place in the classroom. FlightViz makes that
training more effective with its high-fidelity visualization software.
Instructors can review and reinforce standard operating procedures,
highlight common errors and demonstrate optimum performance.
AirPortFAM Familiarization/Qualification
FlightViz provides three-dimensional animations of standard approaches and
departures. FlightViz 3D animations preserve the actual pace of a flight,
providing a high level of realism. SimAuthor's Airport Familiarization
system (AirportFAM) is powered by FlightViz visualization technology. In
addition to the realistic 3D view of an airport and surrounding terrain,
this interactive system provides crews with additional and essential airport
information.
